Clinical Training Manager

Position Description:
Will lead in the creation, delivery, and management of high quality, effective clinical training to MAKO internal and external customers. Individual will also support in the development and updating of training content and curriculum. Extensive demonstrated experience as a clinical educator, with a significant preference for a candidate with orthopedic and surgical navigation experience.
Departmental Responsibilities:
- Delivers effective clinical training programs for MAKO products and the surgical techniques.
- Executes and tracks documentation in compliance with FDA regulations as it relates to the clinical training function.
- Creates on-line training programs, instructor-led training programs, on the job training checklists and evaluations.
- Delivers training that enables MAKO employees to conduct business in surgery and insures that MAKO is in compliance with regulatory (OSHA/Federal/Local) requirements and corporate standards.
- Responsible for assessing, evaluating, and tracking clinical and technical competencies.
- Manages a MAKO Clinical Training lab and workshop facility which may include obtaining and maintaining appropriate license for a cadaver lab at some point in the future.
- Supports the development of clinical guides and manuals for use in training customers to use MAKO Surgical products.
- Forms strong relationships with MAKO Clinical Advisory Board Members, and utilizes them in support of the clinical training programs. This will encompass their consultation and support in the continuation of the development of a clinical training curriculum and training materials through engaging them as faculty at training courses.
- In conjunction with sales team members, executes demonstrations of MAKO Surgical products in the clinical training lab environment.
- Other projects as assigned by Director of Clinical and Sales Training.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree required with a minimum of 3 years experience in managing and delivering clinical training
- Experience in creating curriculum and learning materials
- Clinical background with strong knowledge in orthopedics
- Excellent verbal and writing communication skills
- Results oriented team player people person
- Excellent presentation skills in small and large group situations
- Strong ability to establish direction and motivate and inspire team members
- Excellent computer skills; proficient user of MS Office Suite including PowerPoint
- Proficient in designing on-line learning
