Robotic Test Engineer
Location:
Ft. Lauderdale, FL
Position Summary:
Write test protocols and build test equipment for new medical robotic systems. Work on cross-functional teams with mechanical, electrical, and robotic engineers to develop test protocols, run the tests, write the reports for the tests performed and share the test data with the design engineers for failure investigation and resolution. The ideal candidate will have a good aptitude for electromechanical systems, good writing skills and be strong in performing the tests, and documenting the results.
Successful candidates must have the ability and flexibility to work well under changing priorities in a high energy, demanding environment.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Build the test equipment and get it operational
- Write test protocols and run the tests for verification and reliability
- Analyze and document results of the tests for verification and reliability testing
Qualifications:
- Zero to two years experience developing tests for complex electromechanical systems
- Strong technical writing skills
- Experience with robotic/haptic systems a plus
Education Requirements:
- BS degree in Electrical required
