Enterprise Systems Analyst

Description:
On a day-to-day basis the Enterprise Systems Analyst (ESA) provides design, configuration, support and maintenance to vendor-supplied software and integrated computer data systems. The core responsibility includes the integration of software across multiple businesses and support systems. This position is responsible for designing and implementing system solutions across multiple departments and serves in key technical roles throughout the vendor-supplied software lifecycle.
On a continual basis, the ESA will have a key role to analyze business requirements and develop design specifications and test plans to meet those requirements. Additional responsibilities include acting as a liaison with the operations community to ensure continuing responsiveness of applicable system software user requirements, providing technical assistance and training to users, and providing after hours call support.
The ESA is responsible for ensuring that there is optimal use of technology to address the needs and challenges of the business for custom and customized packaged software applications. This position is also responsible for providing support for existing applications; work on projects to enhance or replace existing applications and build or implement new packaged software applications.
Requirements/Responsibilities:
- The ideal candidate possesses at least 3 years experience installing, implementing, and supporting enterprise applications in a Windows-based infrastructure
- Familiarity with an array of business technologies (operating systems, security, networking, programming, databases, etc.) required to troubleshoot basic operating, security and networking issues that could impact the application, performance and/or user access
- General knowledge and understanding of business related processes with the ability to translate and implement them into enterprise system processes
- Extensive working knowledge of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems
- Provide training to users for all enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, PLM)
- Intermediate to advanced understanding of Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Management Studio, installation, configuration, DTS, BCP, database backups/restores, stored procedures and database maintenance
- Experience with Crystal Reports including ability to create custom reports
- Experience with Project Management and methodologies to successful product delivery
- Familiar with the Sarbanes Oxley control environment and change control processes
- Possess strong problem solving skills and customer service attitude and focus. Be able to follow-up with managers, peers, and customers on all projects and efforts
- Ability to produce error-free and well tested solutions that meet requirements
- A motivated self-starter that is able to work independently and in teams on tasks and projects with limited supervision
- Direct experience with applications such as Expandable (ERP), Sage SalesLogix (CRM), PLM systems and other enterprise level solutions is desired
- Completes technical implementation and migration of upgrades, patches, code releases and database changes for the various enterprise applications
- Interact with user community, infrastructure team, developers and managers to support the applications, resolve issues, and recommend strategic application growth
- Candidates must be capable of multi-tasking, working within deadlines, and possess a strong aptitude for learning
- Excellent analytical/troubleshooting skills
- Must have excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
